I ordered my usual size, but the fit was just weird. The arms were super tight while the body felt really baggy, so it didn’t look or feel right at all. I ended up returning it, which was more annoying than it needed to be, and the email replies from customer service felt like they were coming from robots instead of real people.

I ordered from kokatat.com and the item did eventually show up, but the shipping took longer than I was expecting. The tracking barely updated for a few days, so I kind of felt trapped just waiting around and checking it with no real idea what was going on.

Everything arrived in good shape in the end, so it wasn’t a huge problem. I just wish the delivery estimate had been clearer or the updates were better, because the waiting part was more frustrating than it needed to be.

Tried my kokatat gear a handful of times now, and it just doesn’t breathe well for me. I’d be out even when it was kind of cool, and quick I’d feel damp and sweaty inside. For what it costs, I figured it would handle that better. It’s alright for short use, I guess, but on longer paddles it gets uncomfortable fast.

I stopped in with a few basic questions about sizing and how to take care of a drysuit. The staff were nice enough, I guess, and at least they tried to answer, but they seemed a little unsure and kind of rushed through everything. For a specialty gear shop, I expected someone to be a bit more confident with their advice. I ended up leaving without really trusting what I’d been told

I ordered my gear from Kokatat the zipper pretty much killed the experience for me. Right out of the box it felt stiff and would catch a lot, even when I was taking my time and trying not to force it.

After a few uses, it didn’t loosen up at all, it actually seemed to get more annoying. For what this stuff costs, I expected the zipper to be way smoother, and if this is the kind of quality I’m going to run into, I’ll probably start looking at other brands next time

Ugh. I really expected better for what I paid. The seams felt kind of cheap right away, and after a short time they started looking rough and worn. Disappointing.

I picked up this Kokatat dry top thinking it would hold up for a long time, but after just a few trips the fabric was already starting to look worn, and one of the seams seemed a little rough. It still does the job okay, but something about it just doesn’t feel as solid as I expected for the price. i’m a bit disappointed.

I don’t know, I just expected more for the price. It wasn’t terrible or anything, but after paying that much, the quality didn’t really feel like it lined up...

I tried to get help with my warranty claim, but nothing ever got fixed. They kept responding with the same canned apologies, like that was supposed to make up for not actually solving the problem. Really frustrating experience.

I was disappointed with this. The insulation feels really thin, and it got cold way faster than I expected in cold water. I also had to chase them up about my complaint, which just made the whole experience more annoying. Wouldn’t buy again.

I bought a dry top from Kokatat and I’m disappointed. It seemed fine for the first couple of trips, but then I started noticing water coming in around the seams and sleeves. I wasn’t doing anything intense either, just regular paddling, so I really expected it to hold up better, especially for the price. I tried drying it out fully and checking it over, but the same issue keeps happening. At this point I feel like some kind of replacement, refund, or compensation would be fair because it definitely didn’t perform the way I expected. I wouldn’t buy this again

I tried to do an exchange, but the whole thing dragged on way longer than it should have. Every time I contacted them, I seemed to get a different answer about what was going on, which made it even more frustrating. The refund still isn’t sorted, and the whole return process has been a mess...

I ordered based on their size guide, but the fit was still all wrong. Some areas was way too tight while other spots were weirdly loose. Returning it ended up being a hassle, and now I’m just out the time. i don’t get why they post a chart if it’s going to be that far off.

I bought a drysuit from kokatat.com, the gaskets started cracking much sooner than they should have. I rinsed it after using it and stored it properly, so it’s not like I was careless with it. For what these suits cost, it doesn’t feel right that I’m already looking at gasket replacements. That’s frustrating and expensive, and frankly, I expected better durability from a company charging premium prices.

I’ve been using my Kokatat gear for a bit now, i do feel safe in it. It’s held up well so far, which is the main thing. That said, the shipping took longer than I expected, and getting support was a little slow too. So yeah, the gear itself is solid, no complaints there really. I just figured the whole experience would be a bit smoother for the price.

I was poking around Kokatat looking at gear, and the whole site just felt kind of clunky, like I kept expecting it to get easier and it never really did. The filters weren’t super helpful, and I found myself clicking around way too much just to compare basic things like sizing, features, and what was actually different between products.

Some of the product pages do have useful info, so it’s not like there’s nothing there, but the way it’s organized made me work for it. For gear that costs this much, I guess I expected the shopping experience to feel smoother and more modern instead of having to dig around and double-check everything

so... my order showed up in a box that looked like it had a rough trip. One side was crushed in, and the tape was already coming loose like it wasn’t packed very carefully.
Thankfully, the item inside was still fine, but for the price, I expected the packaging to be a lot better. It just felt kind of careless.
it wasn’t the best first impression. I’d be hesitant to order again if this is how things are going to be shipped
